Paediatric Cardiac Arrest (BLS)
This interactive lecture explores high-quality cardiac arrest management of newborns, infants and children until puberty. It details the techniques used in these situations when only one provider is on scene, as well as when two providers are dedicated to the CPR efforts. It also discusses provider fatigue, the importance of minimizing interruptions, and the ventilation/compression ratio.
After completing this course, the practitioner will be able to:
- Describe how to perform one-rescuer CPR on infants and children.
- Describe how to perform two-rescuer CPR on infants and children.
- Understand the effects of rescuer fatigue on CPR.
