This module discusses the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of patients presenting with chest discomfort and describes the general process for using the AMLS Assessment Pathway for these patients. It also describes the ongoing assessment to rule out or confirm potential diagnoses and adapt treatment and management based on patient response and findings.
After completing this course, the practitioner will be able to:
Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology to patients presenting with chest discomfort.
Describe the general assessment process using the AMLS Assessment Pathway for a patient presenting with chest discomfort.
Describe the ongoing assessment of a patient presenting with chest discomfort, utilized to rule out or confirm potential diagnoses and adapt treatment and management based on patient response and findings.
