This interactive lecture examines securing and maintaining a patent airway in the trauma patient, and assessing the airway by looking, listening, and feeling. It highlights the importance of maintaining manual stabilisation of the head and spine, as indicated, when securing the airway. It additionally underscores the value of anticipating difficulties and planning and preparing for alternate methods of airway control.
