Health care providers are likely to participate in the care of many patients in cardiac arrest during their careers. This module explores body systems and their failures, cardiac arrest management and airway techniques for these patients. It also discusses s the current techniques for one- and two-rescuer CPR and the links in the chain of survival.
After completing this course, the practitioner will be able to:
Recite the chain of survival and understand its links.
Understand the current techniques for one- and two-rescuer CPR.
Demonstrate the current techniques for one- and two-rescuer CPR.
Practitioners who successfully complete the Adult Cardiac Arrest (BLS Edition) course are eligible for 2 hours of continuing education
