Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is the gold standard and is recognised worldwide as the leading continuing education programme for prehospital emergency trauma care. It is one of the prerequisite qualifications needed to work in the private sector and will undoubtedly be, counting towards your Professional Registrations and Annual Practicing Certificate.
The mission of PHTLS is to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved or with interest in the delivery of prehospital care.
Immediate Care Paramedics are delighted to deliver the PHTLS course developed by NAEMT in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, which provides medical direction and oversight. The PHTLS curriculum and philosophy stresses the treatment of the multi-system trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs.
