The course will take you beyond basic first aid and build skills which you will be able to apply in your professional, personal and family lives if the need ever arises.
Delivered through short powerpoint lectures (15-30mins), practical hands on skills stations and scenarios, we will build your confidence and ability to potentially save a life. The initial places will be given priority to those working as part of the medcial response team, but will be open to anyone who wishes to sign up.
The course will be run in modules. You will be given a log book to keep a record of each session you have attended, once all sessions have been completed you can then request your certificate and qualification.
Immediate Care Paramedics are delighted to have been given the opportunity to sponsor your course fee for this qualification, which usually retails at NZ$375.
The only cost to you will be NZ$20. This will enable us to register your officially register your qualification with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). Upon completion you will be awarded your certificate of completion and your record of achievement card. This is valid for 2 years from date of issue.
